Chinese

Chinese is fast becoming popular as a second and third language in the United States as China continues to grow stronger socio-economically. The Chinese government has had english as key component of their education system to ensure that their citizens can participate fully in a globalized world. Exposing children at a young age to a second or third language has a positive impact on intellectual growth, leaves students with a greater sensitivity to language (allowing for children to learn additional languages easier, and provides opportunities to explore new cultures, and most importantly a life long love for languages.

Homework

Homework makes up a large portion of a child's daily schedule as they transition into grade 1 and higher. By having your child work on home work while at PLA, they will have more time in the evenings for activities with the family. Our staff provide an opportunity for children to focus on lessons and homework and are there to provide guidance and encouragement.

Arts and Music

We believe that providing children to art and music is critical to developing the whole child. While a strong focus on math, science and reading is critical, art and music help develop creativity which is important to developing critical thinking and problem solving skills. We are currently in the process of recruiting teachers to provide music and art to supplement our core programs

Parent and Me

Our "Parent and me" program is designed to introduce children to a preschool environment in the safety of . This 1 hour teacher-led program will include music and movement, arts and craft and a variety of fun age appropriate learning activities, such as puzzles, puppets, blocks or shape sorters and stories. Small class size is conducive to cooperation, playing together, making friends, and learning how to share and take turns.
